Our cloud wreathed star slips below the horizon, creating an ethereal scene for the iron men on
Crosby beach.
Earlier this week the sun before sunset was just a glowing orange ball in a hazy sky and as it approached the horizon it appeared to become wreathed in cloud. A spectacular ending to a fine day.
