A glorious Saturday afternoon brought sparkling sea and air to Crosby beach with balmy views across the estuary to the Welsh Hills, these iron men have the best view.
Sunday it was raining but magically cleared late afternoon and I observed this unusual cirrocumulus cloud glowing with rainbow colours. It is an caused by the sunlight being diffracted off the tiny ice crystals in the cloud. The clear air after the rain led to a spectacular sunset at the beach.
