In Camera...Ruby Princess

At around 10.50 this morning the cruise ship "Ruby Princess" passed the Iron Men on Crosby beach on her way into Liverpool. It was a majestic sight as the gleaming white ship passed by. When taking shots such as this it is important to frame the ship with the iron men so that the location can be easily recognised. A shot of the ship by herself could be taken anywhere.
A pre-planned position enables several different views to be obtained as the ship passes by, just by moving right as the ship sails to the left of the shot means that the iron men can be kept in the foreground, giving a sense of place.

Whilst waiting for the ship to approach, I was observing the many different colours of the iron men with the weathering they have received from sun, air and water.
