I recently had the pleasure of taking a group of young students from Holy Family High School in Crosby down to the beach for a tutorial as one of their summer school workshops. I talked to the group first then we went down to the beach for a photo shoot before returning to the school to download and work on the pictures.
The day was not a great one for photography on the beach, the sky overcast and a humid haze out to sea but the students were keen to put their photography skills into practice and it was interesting to see their view of what is now familiar territory to me.
The students showed a keen interest in processing their images on the computer and I gave them some tips on image enhancement but they were soon adding ideas of their own.
